    Nir Peled, Israel I Chairperson

    Prof Nir Peled is the Director of the Cancer Center at the Soroka Medical Center, Ben-Gurion University, Beer-Sheva, Israel.  He is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonology and medical oncology. He is one of the key opinion leaders in the field of lung cancer. He is the chair of the thoracic cancer Assembly of the European Thoracic Society and the co-chair of the screening committee of the IASLC (International Association of Lung Cancer).

    Dr. Aaron Allen is a board certified radiation oncologist.  Dr. Allen trained at the University of Michigan in Radiation Oncology where he also served as Chief Resident.  He was appointed to the Faculty of Harvard Medical School and worked as a specialist in Lung Cancer prior to moving to Israel.  Today Dr. Allen is the Head of New Technologies at the Davidoff Center in Petach TIkvah Israel where he runs the thoracic radiotherapy group.

    Dr. Boeri earned his degree in Industrial Biotechnology in 2006, with a thesis developed at the Institute of Pharmacological Research “Mario Negri” of Milan (Italy). He then attended the bioinformatics laboratories of Prof. Duccio Cavalieri of the University of Florence (Italy) and Prof. Eitan Rubin of the Ben Gurion University in Be’er Sheva (Israel) as a visiting student for training.

    Dr. Christopoulos studied medicine at the University of Athens, Greece, and completed his training in Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Hematology, Medical Oncology, and Palliative Care at the University Hospitals of Athens (Greece), Freiburg im Breisgau and Würzburg (both in Germany). As a fellow, he participated in several phase I, II and III clinical trials and applied state-of-the-art methods of cellular and molecular immunology to characterize the T-cell status of untreated patients with indolent B-cell Non-Hodgkin lymphomas.

    Anne-Marie C. Dingemans MD, PhD is a  professor of pulmonology with special interest in thoracic oncology. Since 2004 she is appointed as a staff member of pulmonology at the Maastricht University Medical Center+, The Netherlands and since 2018 she is a board member of the faculty board of the faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences, University Maastricht.

    Rudolf M. Huber, Professor of Medicine at Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich, is past head of the Department of Respiratory Medicine and Thoracic Oncology at the University hospitals – campus Innenstadt. He initiated and chaired the Thoracic Oncology Centre Munich and is cofounder and member of the comprehensive Pneumology Centre of Munich (CPC-M) and the German Centre for Lung Research (DZL).

    Miguel Ángel Molina holds a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and has over 20 year experience in translational cancer research in hospitals such as MD Anderson Cancer Center (Houston, TX) or Vall d’Hebron Hospital (Barcelona, Spain). He has more than 70 peer reviewed publications in cancer and medical journals, including New England Journal of Medicine, Lancet Oncology, Annals of Oncology, Nature Communications, Cancer Research or Clinical Cancer Research.

    Silvia Novello, MD, PhD is Full Professor of Medical Oncology in the Oncology Department at San Luigi Hospital in Orbassano, Italy, part of the University of Turin. She earned her medical degree and completed the postgraduate training in Respiratory Medicine and Medical Oncology at the University of Turin and partially at the Institut Gustave Roussy, in France.

    Robert Pirker is currently Professor of Medicine at the Department of Medicine I, Medical University of Vienna, Austria. He obtained a master’s degree in Biochemistry in 1978 and his medical degree in 1979 from the University of Vienna. Robert Pirker trained in Internal Medicine, Hemato-Oncology and Nuclear Medicine at the University of Vienna. He also worked as NIH Visiting Fellow at the Laboratory of Molecular Biology (Chief: Dr. Ira Pastan), National Cancer Institute, Bethesda, MD, USA (1983-86).

    Dr. Laila C. Roisman, is the Director of Oncology Research at Soroka University Medical Center. Previously, she headed the bioinformatics and R&D at the Center for Precision Cancer Care at Rabin Medical Center, Israel. Dr. Roisman graduated with a PhD degree in biophysics from the Weizmann Institute of Science. She did her first post-doctoral training at the Weizmann Institute in high-throughput DNA repair functional assay development and a second post-doctoral training in immune protein crystallography at Monash University, Australia.
